Y’all, I swear Grant and Julia are going to kill me with their reluctance to tell each other how they really feel. Grant’s first wife, Lydia, showing up, has only complicated things further, and I have to admit, Steele had me so worried when she showed up wanting to be in Grant’s life again that things would end with the contract between Grant and Julia. I am impressed by how real the characters feel, even though I’ll never understand the amount of money at play, the emotions in play feel true to them, and don’t feel fake or forced to fit the storyline. The story keeps you engaged cover to cover, and although there’s no spice really, there’s plenty of tension. I can’t wait to see what book four has in store!
