REVIEW

4 out of 5

This was quite the interesting thriller, with Laurel’s life taking an unexpected turn when she saves Paul’s daughter from drowning. Laurel goes from a fairly boring life, to one filled with danger and intrigue. I don’t think I’d quite call this a romance, but there was plenty of excitement within the pages. Kinsey does a great job of introducing twists to ensure the plot doesn’t become boring or predictable. I enjoyed the characters, but felt like I could’ve gotten to know them better. I did like watching how Laurel changed along with her life circumstances, and seeing her slide further to the darker side of life. If you’re looking for a thriller with a side of light romance, then you’ll want to grab this one.
