REVIEW

4 out of 5

I admit, I do love a good old-fashioned murder mystery. I found Maddie to be an interesting character, and a great female lead. There is a dash of romance mixed in, which I didn’t mind, but wasn’t my favorite part of the plot. (Not totally sure Maddie should be running towards a romantic entanglement when she’s there because of some mental health issues). That said, I enjoyed how quickly the plot moved along, and how well the setting was described. There were enough twists that I was kept guessing until the very end. A great mystery, and I look forward to seeing more of Maddie in the future!
