Pagan Portals – Cerridwen

TWEET CUTE X I HATE EVERYONE BUT YOU

by Danu Forest

Hearken back to the call of Cerridwen, mistress of initiation and keeper of the cauldron of inspiration. Follow the footsteps of the bards and dive into her mysterious depths in search of the radiant brow of inner vision. Drink of her Awen, her divine brew, and sit with Taliesin, keeper of the bright knowledge of spirit. Cerridwen has been honoured by the Welsh bards for centuries and is known most famously as the mother and initiator of the bardic poet and divine child Taliesin, whose works are the greatest treasures of Welsh medieval literature, unlocking a spiritual tradition whose roots go far back to Britain’s most ancient past.

REVIEW

5 out of 5

This is an excellent beginner’s guide to Cerridwen, with resources for further research, and exercises to help you get closer to the goddess and those close to her. Although I’ve worked with Cerridwen before, I enjoyed reading about her story more in depth, and I loved the imagery invoked in the meeting meditation exercises. I’d definitely recommend making a recording of them and listening to them as you do the exercise, so you can focus wholly on the process, and not worry about next steps. Personally, I plan to use the exercises regularly to help me reconnect to the goddess, they’re also an incredible way to help find some inner calm in a world that is increasingly tumultuous. If you are new to working with Cerridwen, I highly recommend reading parts one through three before diving into the final part that goes more into working with the goddess (although this is a shorter section, as you get some important building blocks in the first three).
