This was a captivating romantasy, with excellent world-building and unforgettable characters. I will say this – there are some scenes that you may recognize from book one, but this time we’re seeing them from a new POV – so reading book one would be quite helpful. Although a lot of the world-building happens in book one, we get to explore a little more and get a deeper look with fresh perspectives. Reneah and Cathan are an interesting couple, and I’d love to see their story further explored, as well as Ash and Drae as the series continues. Honestly, Reneah has really found her way into my heart, and I was a little sad to leave her behind. The story itself moves along at a good pace and keeps your interest from cover to cover. If you enjoy romantasy with age gaps, fae, and forbidden romance, then you absolutely need to read this!
