This was such a fun adventure! This book will capture your interest from the start, and older readers will easily fly through the pages (It’s hard to put down). Harley is a great lead character, and it’ll be easy for middle graders to like her. I love that Harley gets to travel with her father to various archaeological sites, and that mystery and legend are woven into the story. This was an amazing opening book to a new series, and I look forward to reading the ones that come next!

About the Author
Leah Cupps is an author, designer and entrepreneur. She came up with the idea for Harley James with her oldest daughter Savannah. Savannah had taken an interest in Mayan history and so the two of them worked together to come up with the idea for the first Harley James book; the Mystery of the Mayan Kings.
Leah lives in Indiana with her husband and three children. She is also the co-founder of Vision Forty Press, a small family owned publishing company.
